Overview

Bosses

There should be 8-10 bosses per map, that are thematically relevant to the storyline. They should have different damage and healing profile requirements to incentivize players to change classes boss by boss, but changing should not be mandatory in normal mode (i.e., normal mode should be doable by any group composition). The final boss should be hardmode-only, as an additional incentive to do hardmodes.

  • Afterlife creature in tarn, attempting to connectestablishes the realm of the dead theme. The mansion gates show that the mansion grounds are affected. The valet is being corrupted against his will, and has to be defeated to reach Lord Usher. Lord Usher is not exactly sane, and the group realizes that they need to check the crypt. The crypt contains the sister, whose soul is being drained by a fiend in the crypt. The fiend has to be defeated to restore the sister's soul, upon which she sends the party to deal with four separate threats. Those threats are servants that are being possessed by dead entities, and defeating them weakens the grasp of the realm of the living
